iPhone is known for its superior quality, great performance, and great features. They are in high demand and everyone wants to have the latest model. However, most iPhone models are expensive and rarely released. This guide mainly tells you the tips to consider before you purchase iPhones in bulk.

Buying a used or refurbished iPhone is a great idea for those who want to own an iPhone at a cheaper price. This way, you can save up to 80% when upgrading a model compared to buying a new model.

Beyond that, buying a used iPhone is also a more sustainable option. You can even try to test its features and other parameters before buying so you can make an informed buying decision.  Buying iPhones in bulk, however, often presents its own set of challenges. Your iPhone is at risk of being stolen if you buy it from a private seller.

It may even contain fake or defective parts. Used phones can have issues with battery life, warranty, storage, and more. All of these factors usually discourage people from buying iPhones in bulk. But don’t worry, to make sure you don’t face such risks, we bring you 5 tips to consider before you purchase iPhones in bulk!

1. Buy from authentic and reputable sources

First, one of the 5 tips you must consider before Purchasing iPhones in bulk is to buy from an authentic, reputable source. In fact, for many valuable second-hand gadgets, there are numerous black markets run by illegal sellers around the world. When buying iPhones, they often disguise themselves as reliable sources on the internet. However, this is just a trap, and the risks you face include never receiving the order you paid for or receiving a defective or stolen iPhone.

To prevent this, you must always conduct a thorough background check on the seller. Look for customer reviews, see if their business is registered, and always base your buying decisions on those credentials. You can buy iPhones wholesale from a variety of sources, including Apple itself, reputable phone companies like Cashify, used resellers like Gazelle, and sites like eBay.

For example, I have a client. He’s a climatic chamber manufacturer. Usually, his business is very busy, in order to be able to respond to customers in a timely manner, he bought many used iPhones to use as work phones. To ensure the quality of the mobile phone, he chose to buy these used iPhones from a regular reseller. Just like our UEEPHONE.

2. Always make sure your iPhone is not stolen

How to make sure the iPhone sold to you wasn’t stolen? Apple has a feature that does not allow new users to access stolen iPhones. This is called the “Activation lock function”, when“Find My iPhone” When activated, the feature turns on. However, this feature is only available to you after purchasing the device.

You can also ask the seller for the IMEI number of your iPhone to make sure your iPhone is not stolen. This can be done prior to purchase and will provide you with evidence of any prior theft. In addition to this, you can also ask the seller for the original proof of purchase i.e. a real receipt or invoice.

This can help you understand the original owner of your iPhone and its warranty status. It will tell you if the iPhone is the seller’s first owner, or if the iPhone has multiple users.

Consider Before Purchasing iPhones in Bulk

3. Check the hardware for serious damage

If you’re buying a used iPhone, it’s normal to have some scratches here and there. You should check for major scratches on the screen, defective Touch ID, Face ID, or 3D Touch sensors, scratches on the camera lens, or any other serious hardware damage.

If possible, tell the seller that you would like a physical inspection of the product. Check microphones, cable ports, batteries, humidity sensors, etc. You’re better off buying an iPhone that has a warranty for such damage.

4. Battery

Always check the battery of a used iPhone. The battery likely won’t be replaced, and an iPhone that hasn’t been used much will still have decent battery life. However, you must check the battery condition of an iPhone that has had multiple users in the past. This can be done using the battery health feature on phones running iOS 12 and later.

Your iPhone’s battery health can be checked by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.  Here, a section called “Maximum Capacity” should tell you how efficient the battery is. You can also visit Apple.com for affordable battery replacements.

5. Make sure to compare features to the price

Even better if you make sure you get your money’s worth. Be sure to ask the seller about the features of the used iPhone model you’re buying. Find out which features you don’t need for your iPhone model and see if you can live with them. You can probably pick up one a generation below the current model for around $100 or less. It’s a smart way to shop while saving a ton of money.
